May I return an item that I have bought and received if I find it unsatisfactory for some reason?
We accept returns within 15 days after your receipt of an item. Please email us of your intention to return the item and the reason for returning it. We refund payment for returned items less shipping and selling charges made to us by PayPal. If you request for a replacement of the same item, we may do so if justifiable at no extra shipping charge.

May I pay my account with my personal check?
Yes, you may. We accept payment from checks denominated in U.S. dollars. If you haven't had a previous transaction with us, we ship the item only after your check has cleared which usually takes anywhere from 15 to 21 days. The check must be carefully written: check on the correctness of the date with month written out in full, no misspellings on the amount and the name of the payee.

What is the basis for your shipping charges?
The shipping charges not only include the actual postage amount payable, but also the cost of envelope, packing material including cellophane sleeves (to avoid water damage), and secretarial service, and other expenses (such as transportation) incurred in delivering and collecting mail to and from the local postal service branch.

Where is the Philippines?
The Philippines is a group of islands (more than 7,000) and part of Southeast Asia. It is located in the Pacific ocean, slight north above the equator.

What is the transit time of mail from the Philippines?
Generally to North America and Europe, it may take anywhere from 7 to 14 days by regular airmail. Registered airmail is somewhat slower and it may take as long as 3 weeks.

What is meant by MNH and other abbreviations used in your titles and descriptions?
The term refers to unused stamps with full gum at the back and no markings to indicate that no hinge has been previously attached to the back for mounting, e.g. to an album. MNH stamps also have not been used for mailing so that no they have no postmarks. Because they look cleaner, presently, many stamp collectors prefer tham over postally used stamps. Other abbreviations: SS = souvenir sheet; mnsht = minisheet; FDC = first day cover

Do you provide a new issue service where I can automatically receive new issues without waiting for them to be listed in your products?
Unfortunately, we are not in a position to provide this service at the present time.

How do I save on shipping charges (S/H)?
Multiple purchases and sending the items combined result in saving on shipping charges. The minimum S/H for any order is $2.00. However, if for example, 4 single issue items (same or different) are bought in a single order, the S/H for all 4 may still be only $2.00. [Ordered separately, the S/H for 4 may total $8 [4 x $2]). The combined S/H for several items is calculated based on their combined weights. This website is programmed such that the S/H cost for multiple purchases is calculated automatically. It is only upon checkout of multiple purchases that the discounted S/H for the whole lot is shown. If you believe that the calculated S/H is excessive you may email me for a possible negotiation. (This website design makes possible offering of single items either issued as single stamps, or individual stamps in a set, to be purchased without paying inordinately high shipping costs. The average buyer is not likely willing to pay $2 S/H on an item that costs only $0.30. This is a situation which happens when there is only a single stamp issued to commemorate or mark an event. This also happens when one buys only one of the stamps in a set that is "missing" from his collection. (On occasion, we intend to list individual stamps in a set to fullfil this need.)

Is shipment from the Philippines safe and reliable?
In our experience, it is and have had very little problems. The Philippine Postal service, unfortunately, does not offer mail insurance. For added security and to prevent any possible mail loss, you may request that bought items be shipped by registered mail. You have to add an additional fee of $1.50 to the invoice total. Registered mail may now be tracked in the internet using the registration number. Loss of unregistered shipment is buyer's responsibility and is for his account.

What would be a safe way of paying for my item?
You may pay through PayPal using your credit/debit card/bank account number. Besides being safe, we receive payment earlier and are able usually to ship within 24-48 hours after notification by PayPal. What more, PayPal does not impose any service charge to buyers, and selling charges are borne by sellers. Paying through PayPal also save you postage expenses and trip to the post office in having to mail your payment to us. We generally do not encourage payment in cash (US dollar notes or equivalent Euros). If you must, then it is advisable to send your payment by REGISTERED airmail. You may also pay by direct transfer from your bank account to our bank account or pay through other payment transfer companies such as Western Union. These other modes of payment however, generally are more expensive to buyers.

What is meant by SS, B4 in your titles and descriptions?
SS is an acronym for Souvenir Sheet which usually consists of 4-8 stamps on one small sheet and sometimes labelled as such; B4 means a block of 4 stamps in a 2x2 arrangement.

What are your suggestions for an effective searching with the search function?
Among the words that may be used for broad searching are: year of issue (e.g. 2006); type of stamp (commemorative, special, definitive), FDC (for first day covers), mnsht (for minisheets), SS (for souvenir sheets). NSCM (for National Stamp Collecting Month Issues). For topical searches, you may use your item of interest (e.g. birds; Pope; zodiac; etc.). The search function is not case sensitive. Generally. if nouns entered in the singular do not yield search results, you may repeat using the plural case of the noun. (e.g. mammals for mammal; orchids for orchid, etc.). We are trying to include Scott catalog numbers for all the stamps so that the numbers may be used for a highly specific searching. As of now, inclusion of Scott numbers is not yet complete. An example of search entry, using this method is: Sc 2667
