I am university teacher and am involved in selling Philippine stamps as a hobby. I would like to promote interest in Philippine stamps to help make others know more about my country. For one to be interested in owning a particular stamp, I believe it important that the reason and significance of its issuance be known. This explains the somewhat rather detailed description of each of the items I sell. Current Philippine stamps are competitive in the quality of printing and their presentation. An important note is that the number of Philippine stamps sold by the Philippine Postal Corporation is rather limited. Sourvenir sheets are generally printed in 10,000 amounts and only 500 First Day Covers as a rule are issued for each item. Commemorative stamps generally, do not reach the hundred thousands in number. Many issues become scarce early because of this. Scott's catalog show that Philippine stamps are among those which increase more rapidly in value than others. There is a current trend to print issues as minisheets (6-25 values) rather than as big sheets containing 50 or 100 stamps. This is gaining acceptance presently by many stamp collectors. Minisheets, compared to single stamps, provide greater visual impact which compensates foir the need for larger albums.
I also sell items at Ebay (http://www.ebay.com/) and am a "Power Seller" with a current positive feedback rating of 99.7%. Buy my items with confidence.
